The Livescribe Echo Smartpen has always been a piece of tech that I envied. It's beyond useful for artists, students, parents.. really anyone that writes anything down. So, when we were approached to create a single page advertising site for the Echo Smartpen, I already knew the selling points.

The target audience for the Echo Smartpen advertising site was educators: school administrators & teachers that want to purchase the pens for entire classes, or even entire schools.

When I started sketching out concepts for this page, I knew that it needed very impactful illustration and copy. This ideology is obvious when viewing the final piece. I used a massive image of the pen and some illustrated ink coming from the tip to be the main focal point on the page. From there, the large headers and solid copy took the viewer all the way down the page.

I used dynamic drawers and smooth scrolling to keep the page moving and interactive while working the user down towards the "Buy" Button. Ultimately, I think the simplistic approach was the right direction to take this project in.
